Lets start with what is AM? (AM) or Amplitude Modulation is a Modulation Technique used in Electronic Communications. It is used most commonly for transmitting messages via radio waves.

The amplitude of the wave varies in proportion i.e signal strength to that of the audio message transmitted.

AM modulation was also known under its affectionate name by many CB radio Users as Auntie Mary!

Welcome to the 11 Meter radio band known as CB and the Dedicated AM Group Papa Echo!

While many countries have set portions of the 11 Meter Band for CB radio that are legal to use such as the UK 40 channels between the frequencies of 27.60125Mhz - 27.99125Mhz at 10k Steps per channel These are Known as the Muppets Band FM CB

EU(CEPT) & USA 40 channels between the frequencies of 26.96500Mhz-27.40500Mhz at 10k Steps per channel These are Known as the MIDs AM/FM/SSB
